Coyote (Canis latrans) tries to sneak up on some Sandhill Cranes, Snow Geese and ducks at the edge of a pond. His coat blends in incredibly well with the surrounding bush. Only way we even spotted him was when he was moving. Those big ears bouncing around gave him away to us. However, here he gets busted. Crane made eye contact and called to all his buddies. Coyote's pursuit was over. He messed with some Northern Shovelers further down on the pond. Although they looked distracted while dabbling and diving for food, the Coyote didn't get close to them. Word on the pond was out!
