Three Snow Geese (Chen caerulescens) trying to catch up with the flock. These geese take off - by the thousands and all at once generally - in the mornings. from the ponds. Not sure why these three slackers hung around later than the rest of the flock. They took off at the same time and flew very close to each other as you can see here. Maybe they are just used to flying that way, whether there are two buddies or two thousand. Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, New Mexico.
