Typically a gregarious species, this lone male Waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus) wasn't far away from a bachelor group when we saw him. These are large antelopes - males average 50 inches (127 cm) tall at the shoulder and weigh 437-578pounds (198–262 kg).
