Two male Polar Bears (Ursus maritimus) wrestle in the soft Arctic morning light. The bear in front was hanging out on a spit of land across the bay as we boarded our boat at dawn. It was almost like he couldn’t wait for his photo shoot. After hamming it up for us for over an hour, he walked the shore and connected with his buddy. Here they are play fighting. Not serious, but the size, agility and power of these Bears is amazing. Sometimes they even draw blood.
