While a Turkey Vulture eyed this burrow-filled area of Wind Cave National Park, a young Black-tailed Prairie Dog (Cynomys ludovicianus) returned to its burrow, where mother comforted him for a moment.  Then a few seconds later they were both safe inside their burrow, out of sight.  Wind Cave National Park, South Dakota.
