Bull Elk (Cervus canadensis) pauses from feeding in the willows. The snow is blowing and the wind is howling, but his thick, insulating coat of hair and an impressive neck mane will keep his core warm and dry. These guys are huge - averaging over 700 pounds. Some of the biggest will weigh in at over 1200 pounds.
