Lake Clark National Park, Alaska - on the Cook Inlet - is a stunning place literally crawling with large, well-fed Brown Bears that have become habituated to humans. The bears are more concerned with other bears, which allows you to approach much closer than is possible in the Lower 48 states. Excellent guides and a consistent plan of approach are required. We plan to return here at least once a year.
