Botswana Safari (71 images)

Our first trip to Southern Africa. Botswana is famous for Elephants and African Wild Dogs, among other things. We spent a week on the Chobe River, observing hundreds of Elephants, Hippos, shore birds and Kingfishers (mostly at eye level). Then we headed to the Okavango Delta, where we followed Leopards and had some priceless encounters with African Wild Dogs (aka Painted Wolves), including a pack that included 11 puppies just old enough to be out of the den and following the adults.
