Our January 2013 Kenya safari took us to Samburu, Lewa and the Masai Mara. The wettest season in recorded Kenyan history supercharged grass growth, which resulted in plenty of food for the large herds of grazers and browsers, solid pasture for the Maasai cattle herds and a target-rich environment for the big cats.
