Two Red Fox families survive, and thrive, in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. These images how the parents raise their kits, the interactions between family members, and show the foxes exploring their habitat.

This species has been called "the most feline" of the canids (i.e., "dogs") - these images demonstrate the grace and agility that we believe show the truth of that characterization. The foxes also share the parenting skills of the wolves and dogs. The parents provide protection, food and training, but also seemed to really enjoy their kits. The youngsters, of course, absolutely adore their parents. Except, perhaps, when the vixens get a bit rough with the grooming.
