We missed out on photographing the male Pronghorn chasing a female - right in front of us (for a few seconds). Quite a sight and an awesome sound. Shaking off our disappointment, we noticed love was in the air just yards away from the Pronghorn. This little guy was competing with another male White-tailed Jackrabbit (Lepus townsendii) for the attention of a female. He sat still nicely for about 4 seconds, when he bolted off in pursuit of his rival. Custer State Park, Black Hills, South Dakota.
